good eats

I’ve been doing this for years. Generally there are beans, rice and tortillas available as a base for anything. Short of that, soup gets made. And I want to try this.

que lo que?

If so, call me a Goldwater Republican. Except I love Hippie music. Sorry, Barry, but I’m from the doomed generation, dig? (Not really, but hell, it sure feels like it sometimes.) Really though, if the GOP would put up a good Goldwater Republican for office, I’d vote for them regardless. Unless a good libertarian were [...]

Movie Review: Amores Perros

I just finished watching Amores Perros. Not as disjointed as 21 Grams, and thankfully so -I don’t think I could have managed that much confusion and read subtitles. Never the less, the movie is about love and loss (the title’s translation is, roughly, Love is a Bitch) and a singular event that ties the lives [...]

basically, yeah.

Why did Ron Paul lose? I actually noticed a bit of this early on. There were no national ads being aired, and he did very little besides attend debates. The crazies that came out of the woodwork to his cause scared me, too (Netroots). These are the people who don’t understand economics or politics; they [...]

vitriol!

Well, anyone who can live for years without eating other creatures/their byproducts, might smoke marijuana and rides a bicycle to save the environment just might be plain Unamerican! An extra-special cheers to “Paul Carroll” for going to the media instead of taking their offer; now that’s fucking patriotism if I’ve ever seen it. Extra humbugs [...]

Salvia illegal in Florida

Ridiculous: A hallucinogenic herb known as Salvia, which was sold legally in the state of Florida, will soon be illegal. Governor Charlie Crist has signed the hallucinogenic herb law (HB 1363) which makes Salvia divinorum illegal and puts it in the same class of controlled substances as marijuana and LSD. Seriously? God forbid anyone have [...]

Kaleidogasm – Part One

“Good ass keeps the world goin’ round,” Reed laughed hoarsely, “know what I mean?” “Yeah, sure do boss,” Jimmy responded. He really didn’t give a shit; today he was a space druid, harnessing the spirits of the interplanetary space-whales. There were massive growths in space that he likened to fauna. Reed kept on hammering away [...]
