Five Reviews in Five minutes

  1. mc chris – mc chris is dead: lacks the catchy hooks and feels repetitive, the beats seemingly produced by a late 90’s video game musician.
  2. Ghost World: pretentious girl gets what’s coming to her; stylish and entertaining.
  3. Easy All-Stars – Radiodread: Too many contributing artists breakup the flow and cohesion of the album, making it far less pleasing than Dub Side of the Moon.
  4. Pennywise – Reason to Believe: Better than some of their stuff, but nothing truly outstanding.
  5. RX Bandits – …and the battle begun: More reggae, less punk; more jam-band, less pop.

That’s what I’ve been consuming lately. I’m still working on a couple of reviews (Tsunami Rising, Audition, Bear Vs. Shark, If You Were Me, etc.) but I figured that these didn’t really need too much analysis. They’re all pretty good, and worth the listen/watch. Note that a lot of it is older, too. I just get around to things whenever I damn well choose, it seems.
