“Focus your homeostasis.” Blurted by some girl Tuesday night. In retrospect, I’m not sure what the inside joke was about but I took it to mean something like “keep your balance, drunkard.” Speaking of interesting phrases, Language Log posted about it today. Having done my fair share of cut-ups to create fiction, I’ve encountered some very strange phrases that just made me warm and fuzzy.
I’m tempted to pick up the new James Frey novel, but I’m being more or less dissuaded by the fifty-fifty reviews it’s getting.
And finally, one of the most interesting reads to cross my feed reader: Slate’s special issue on procrastinating: Just Don’t Do It. Indeed.
Oh yeah, I watched the Redwings game last night; I am very disappointed. The referees were just making poor calls all night, and unlike football the coaches can’t call for a review. Osgood was just not playing very well, though, to be honest. Hopefully, I’ll be able to catch game 5; I rarely have either the channel or the time.
