The Hive, in contrast to Digital Maoism. Oh, Wikipedia, what would people do without you?
I admit that I am an avid user of Wikipedia to get quick answers about what things are, but I rarely attempt to do any real research there. A long time ago, I created a couple of articles on it, and they were deleted about a a year later. They were mostly mocking army units I had served in, so no biggie.
I must admit that unlike in high school, I am a huge fan of books as resources now, rather than any website that contains relative keywords.
I considered setting up my own wiki site at one point, but eventually came to two conclusions: A) that it was pointless and would be trying to cover too much ground B) I am too much of a control freak to just let people edit shit as they please.
The most irritating part about Wikipedia is the fact that they try to remove/discourage trivia sections in articles. That’s half of why I go there. Stop being dicks, wikipedians.
Somebody should create and defend a page about me, by the way.
