Hell yes, my week is set.

I’m entrenching myself into the first season of Twin Peaks. Wonderful stuff. Kyle MacLachlan (as FBI agent Cooper) is a little more creepy than I remember. The atmosphere and feel for the show is dark and moody, but not overwhelming (or over-done).

I’m truly surprised that it only lasted two seasons. I’ve witnessed the same thing happen twice in recent years though, with Firefly and Jericho. The two more recent ones were excessively libertarian. Obviously it was a conspiracy to get them off television.

With Twin Peaks, as with most things Lynch, attracted its cult following and left everyone else in the dust. The end result of convincing most of my friends to watch Mulholland Drive, Inland Empire, or Blue Velvet is generally drunken confusion.
