- King Penguin receives Norwegian Knighthood. Fluffy news makes me feel good.
- Jackson Browne sues McCain, RNC over song in ad. You’re goddamn right.
- From Maud Newton:
Behold: The Google Phone — and its first customer. Leaked footage comes complete with Darth Vader breathing noises.
- Debate coach shoots for the moon.
- Norm Stamper: Former Seattle top cop on the need for drug legalization. I suppose a small minority of the police could be ‘okay guys’.
- “Some infringement on constitutional rights is OK.” No, no it’s not OK. (via Daily Pundit) This following the the Mukasey embarassment.
- Comment #1 for the win.
- Cockfighting now illegal in Louisiana. I witnessed one in Peru; not nearly as bad as you’d imagine. The loser chickens are dinner. Yum.
- Arrested for saying fuck. The nanny-state meme isn’t dead, quite yet.
It used to be, when I was fifteen or so, that I was mad as hell at the world but couldn’t think of a reason for it. That’s called angst. Ten years later, the only difference is that I know why I’m angry. Yet, I cannot seem to not read the news.
But now I’m riled up, filled to the brim with coffee and ready for our monthly staff meeting. The best part? We’re playing Laser-Tag.
