tidbits (for you, my friend, at a very reasonable price)

  • Florida Cop who beat up suspect on tape quits. He should have gone to jail for assault and battery. Cops are dicks.
  • The Packers lose to the Bengals. It’s going to be a long season.
  • Idiots worry now about Digital Drugs. Oh for fucks sake; binaural beats are useful for meditation, but I somehow doubt that I’d ever catch an intense LSD-like hallucination from them. More importantly, why is anything that is not alcohol&tobacco malevolent and posed to stalk, rape and kill children?
  • Catching Giant Sting-Rays. I’ll tell you what: there is a wonderful Peruvian dish called Tortilla de Raya, and I’m suddenly kind of hungry.
  • Warp-Drive might be possible. Caveat? We can’t generate the power necessary. I’ve been chewing my way through the entirety of Star Trek: The Next Generation recently, so this is particularly fascinating to me right now.
  • Book addiction – if I ever read another Dan Brown novel, there might be traumatic effects to my brain; I don’t consume books en masse, but prefer to pick them apart, in bursts. I’ve got bookmarks in four different books scatter throughout my apartment at the moment, not the least of which is a 1964 edition of The Mystification and Misuse of Drugs; talk about some stodgey, albeit interesting viewpoints.

No, I have no niche or discernable point; the world is too scatterbrained to remain focused.
