- Remember the badass who killed a bear with a fucking stick? Yeah, PETA is harassing about it now.
- Tor/win32. You know why.
- Safe-Haven shenanigans come to an end. Oh, poo.
In case most people don’t realize it, Bob Barr (Yeah, that Libertarian guy) was the guy who wrote the 1996 Defense of Marriage Act. Doesn’t seem very libertarian to me, but supposedly he’s changed. I dunno, I’m just not fringe enough to vote for Baldwin (unlike one of my friends, whose politicoholism is getting a bit out of control). I’m not a law student, let alone a lawyer, but I even I can see how this thing is unconstitutional. I have taken at least three classes, in highschool and college now, where we study the constitution. People are always like, “uhm, how is emminent domain legal?” (amongst other things) -I’m the jerk who says, “because your parents voted for jerks.” It’s the truth. Apparently, Clarence Thomas said a few things about constitutional interpretations… wait.. what? I just feel as if it’s just been a back-and-forth since the early 1800′s, gradually shifting towards something we’re really not going to like in 50. I’ll be in Peru, if anyone asks.
But you know what? The slogan for this blog is making a lot more sense now. This is the nightmare: watching a country you are quickly realizing you are completely ambivilant of, but want to love so badly that you’ve fought for it, slide into something you hate. And all you can do is worry about your fucking rent because everyone will shit on you if you don’t walk the walk (talking the talk is passe; you can say anything you like because it won’t matter in five minutes).
I’m too lazy to write something more substantive right now because I need to get a rough draft soc1101 paper, a 3-page essay about grandparents (or something like that?) done by Wednesday, and watch the Kenneth Branagh version of Hamlet by tomorrow evening. Whoo, for working full time while you go to school, eh?
