its not my fault, whoo-hoo!

Bad behaviour blamed on genes. I guess, to a certain extent, but I’m awfully sure that interaction/environment has a lot to do with it. I’m pretty sure I learned that in my Intro to Sociology class, too.

As a jerk, this comes as welcome news. I can blame my asshole behavior on my genes and people will be like “oh, okay!” Right? Right. Actually, I’m a very nice, polite person and go out of my way to not be a dickhead. It just seems that in the long-run I will undoubtedly fuck people over -and not intentionally. No, I don’t intend on sleeping with your girlfriend/sister/mother, but six months from now when it happens, I won’t really be remorseful either. Given a long-enough timeline, I will abuse anyone near me. (I do like to steal, too, but that’s a completely different issue.)

Just come out drinking with me for a few weekends, you’ll see.

Edit: I just realized that everyone loves shadenfreude, though, so maybe I’m actually doing a public service. How’bout them apples! This is an example of functionalist sociological theory – by being a dick, I am providing a need for people to be nicer. Ha! And I get to laugh at others’ expense!
