laws are necessary, but the fewer the better

San Fransisco to vote on decriminalizing prostitution. All arguments aside, it would still be illegal as far as the state is concerned, and the police could still arrest folks for doing it. As far as I know, such measures regarding marijuana have passed successfully in other cities.

However, statewide delegislation would be ideal, of course. Legalization means that there are laws to restrict/enforce something. Decriminalization means that something is still wrong, but they won’t arrest you for it, today anyway.

Either this is good or it’s effectively circus and bread. I’m too lazy to really be paranoid anymore.
