- Kid finds To Kill A Mockingbird offensive because the characters use historically and contextually accurate language. Ok, so the book is chock-full of niggers, but it’s widely known to be anti-racist and used in school curriculum for that very reason. This is in England, but the same argument comes up in America regularly. Nobody in my lit class in highschool had a problem with it, but my school was mostly white and mostly middle(upper) class. A word is just a word – the intent behind it and context can change everything.
- Somebody exercises their property rights and all of their snobby fucking neighbors get butt hurt. Good for him.
- “Some scenarios law officers just can’t be trained for, such as finding a bag of marijuana produced from the rectal area of a female recently engaged in coitus with another female.” I just don’t know if there much to be said about this, but I wouldn’t mind training for this scenario.
- Getting a cat high is animal abuse? What is this world coming to?
- Final Exam for Religion 101. Yes, it’s a bit snarky but it’s also hilarious!
- Stem cells without angering the religious right. Now they’ll be mad about people having their cake and eating it too. I am a bit ambivilant about extending our lifespans; older people tend to hold beliefs I disagree with and I want them to die comfortably and naturally (this is both compassionate and gets them out of the way) – on the other hand, I don’t particularly care to die because I’m having a pretty good time living and it always sucks when the party ends.
Ok, that’s what happens when its slow at work.
