I just finished watching the launch. I’ve watched these things without fail for the last few years and they never cease to awe me. It’s a shame they’re going to scrap the shuttle, but with any luck NASA will be able to keep up the progress.

The Atlantis crew is going up to repair the Hubble for the last time. The old girl has pulled some fantastic data from the cosmos, and she’s gone way past her expected life-span. Pretty cool stuff.

I still think we need to build a space elevator.
