ECON2105

I’m taking a basic macroeconomics course over the summer (gotta raise that GPA, eh) and I’ve become more and more amazed about how pro-free trade it is. There has not been one positive statement regarding tariffs, quotas, embargoes or taxes.

In fact, taxes and trade restrictions have been the primary target for criticism.

Which makes me wonder: is this a change in academia, do most students not comprehend the material, or are that many people ignorant about how markets operate? Because there is a healthy percentage of Americans that are in favor of trade restrictions and taxes. Either these people are evil or they are ignorant. Or both.

On the other hand, I have never had questions that were so difficult to decipher. The way the questions are stated seem to be written to confuse in ways beyond the material.

So, I leave you with this (what I am listening to ATM):

Great song; crappy video.
